ME TIme

A week has passed and it’s official — I am on my way to StressLand~ ^^ For the next 3 months, it’s gonna be tough, spontaneous and above all eyebag-inducing! Almost getting my point? Yes peeps, the last 3 months of the second semester will surely eat most of my time, hence the daily or thrice-a-week type of updates won’t be feasible for the moment. I’m actually in the middle of doing the 3rd chapter of my Research Methodology A couple of exams are just around the corner, written reports, oral reports and all the acad shizz are there too! OH WHAT JOY!

Just had a ME Time with a cup of milk and some Belgian chocolates we received from our neighbor. They were delightful, as usual. Sweets can really boost your emotions to another level~ I love how it can make me so hyper and happy. LOL!

Taking a break won’t hurt ne~

Of Glitters and Red Lippies

You know what's cool? It's when a person you don't expect to know anything from you can actually give something you really like. XD I finally got the third gift aka "Something Arousing" (but not sexually LOL!) from my Monito just this morning.

I should've had received this last year but I wasn't able to attend the block's Christmas party... At first, I thought it was a can of coffee since almost everyone from my block knows that I love drinking coffee~ FYI: I've been drinking one since '97~ YEP, TRUE THAT!

But upon opening the gift...

Happy New Year to everyone!

To start things off, I decided to buy a simple, pink planner. I initially thought of buying the U-Chick planner but it got out of stock, so as an alternative, I bought this one which is relatively cheaper than the other and more minimalistic in design.

It has the features I like for what I consider as a good planner -- calendar overview, month overview, and a clean layout for things/tasks to be noted everyday. Another good thing bout this planner is that it's handy! Not too large nor too small; Just right, just perfect! LOL. ^^ Plus, it only costs Php250.00 XD

On another note, here's my look for New Year's Eve! :>



I always believe that the first day of the year sends the "general vibes" you'll be getting for the whole year. Hence, I see to it that I look great for the first day of the year! -- that is, not stressed-looking nor Haggardo Versoza as they say! ;))

I think this is yet one of the tags that make me think a lot. LOL! Thanks to sis Mei Chagas for tagging me with the trending tag which I just answered a couple of days ago (see this post) So here's the 3rd tag I'm answering! :D

1. What is love?

Love is when you do your best to understand something/someone even if it’s not easy. It also lets you sacrifice some things when needed. It will also make you happy in the end. (What I mean about happy in the end is not just about YOU being happy. More often than not when we love, what makes the other person or thing happy outweighs what you desire for personal satisfaction. We are more concerned of what they feel, what they want. So basically, it doesn’t guarantee YOUR HAPPINESS. You get to realize love when it’s not just all about you, you and you.

2. If you can only eat one kind of food to eat in your entire life, what would it be?

PIZZA! Everything’s in it ;)

3. What is your ideal age to get married?

I guess I’d say 32. I still have lots of years to learn and become a full-pledged doctor. I hope I can settle on my own before getting married. I also want to enjoy my life being single with my girl-friends!

4 How do you gain self-confidence?

I condition myself! I believe that it’s all in the mind. You cannot be confident enough, if in the first place you feel bad about yourself. Do what pleases you –- may it be make-ups or great clothing, good grades or even be good at sports. A good support system with friends and family is also a factor. I gain lots from them, emotionally and spiritually!

5. What is your greatest fear?

I cannot think of anything that I fear the most.

6. Are you in favor of the RH Bill? Why?

Yes. I do not believe that it destructs morality nor does it make people sex-inclined. RH Bill has more to say, and as a bill, it does help in rearing children, taking care of the whole family (by family planning), and parents, especially the mothers.

7. If you will be the president of the Philippines for a day, what is the first thing you will do?

Hold a State of the Nation Address and say what I believe is the problem of the country, request for everyone’s cooperation, and convince them that whatever the government does, if the people of the country don’t take part, then problems will stay as is.

8. Why do you think people celebrate Halloween?

Well it has become a tradition already. I do believe it’s still celebrated today because of the costumes and candies.

9. What kind of food will you never eat even if you will be given one million dollars for it?

Anything that will make me a cannibal.

10. Who is the most handsome guy in the whole world?

Seriously now? TEGOSHI YUYA =)) How I wish I knew him really, (well I somehow believe I knew him in my past life[click here for the crazy stuff], LOL!) But if you know him personally…. as a friend, can you introduce him to me? XD *okay stay put Sandra and control your fangirling side*

4. What is your favorite ensemble? The usual plain colored top, jeans, and FitFlops! (I have a couple of fitflop pairs XD, and I love wearing them)


5. Do you play any musical instrument? Unfortunately, I haven't mastered any instrument though I used to play the guitar before...

7. Would you rather be an ugly tree or an emotionless rock? Emotionless rock -- in terms of biology, the ugly tree wouldn't be standing there if it weren't for the emotionless rock that would have undergone weathering to provide soil for the tree's nutrients and minerals. :D So somehow, I see the rock as an essential thing. It's good that it doesn't have emotions too! Because if it did, it'll surely think twice whether it must provide for the tree or not.


8. Are you still a student or are you already working? I'm still a student, currently on my 3rd year of pre-med in UPM


9. How do you see yourself 10 years from now? Hmm.. this is quite difficult to answer coz I've been dreaming of becoming a pediatrician, an inspirational blogger, and a theatre actress. XD I don't know if they can be combined but we'll see after 10 years! LOL.


10. Is 10 years too much? How about 5 years from now? I guess I'd be studying for Medicine Proper. :)

Feeling Christmas-y!

I decided to make the second theme for my SGCom Baby! :D It's a Christmas-inspired theme with crimson, green, and gold colors as the scheme. Here's the before and after shots of my site! As you can observe, I'm very much into earthy colors these days! Influence of BS Biology? HAHA Nah.

On another note, my feet still hurts coz of our Panigsahan 2011 last Sunday! It was an amazing race held in UP Diliman-QC Memorial Circle for our Hum2 Class. It was actually a game for "plus points" in our grade! How generous can our professor be! :D But yea, my feet still hurts like it's gonna break any moment now! LOL

PS: my family and I are planning to eat at Yakimix tomorrow! I'm so excited ^^~ It'll be my first time to eat there fyi; we usually eat at DADS or Saisaki whenever we eat at buffets! :D

An Interview with Atom

It happens once in a blue moon to meet credible personalities around, and fortunate enough, we got the opportunity to interview one of the most promising journalists of this generation, Mr. Atom Araullo -- journalist, activist, and a fellow Isko. Getting to know more about him is quite fascinating for: one, he answers well that you can very much see how well-rounded a person he is; two, he can crack jokes that are still substantial, meaning you can still learn something from the humor he delivers; and three, he's a very down-to-earth person. His way of thinking and life principles are very inspiring, and for me, that is something that made me look up to him the moment our interview was over. #trulyaninspiration.

1. I do not eat seafood except mussels, shrimp, and fish, though I really don't have an allergy for them (ie crab)


2. I have a HUGE liking for jdoramas/kdramas/tdramas or yes Anything about Asian Dramas!  XD There's no single day that I don't watch at least an episode of any drama. Yes, even if there's an exam the next day. lols!


3. I'm very fond of roaming and trying out beauty products when I go to malls (and usually end up buying something from Korean cosmetics)


4. Dancing and singing are my two hobbies I'm really into.


5. I have three towels when I take a bath -- for the hair, the body and the feet.


6. I have dissected frogs and cats for educational purposes, and it amuses me how life can really be complicated (with all the systems and organs in the body working).


7. I'm a frustrated photographer especially when it comes to nature photography. I guess my exposure to BS Biology and fieldworks awakened my sense of being a naturalist.


8. I can sing in low or high tones(but not the highest tones made by sopranos as in the highest ever! LOL) When the choir needs a bass or a tenor, I can sing their parts. I'm an Alto by the way :D


9. I've tried gun-shooting during my highschool years for ACP training and it was really fun! I thought it was a good stress reliever. :)


10. I can stay all day staring at the computer and of course do something to pass time. HAHA!

No Worries Sunday

I present to you the almost 8-inch tall pile of reviewers/photocopied thingamajigs I used for the past semester. Those were my so-called essentials at that moment; and you know what, they're all going down the drain! >:D HAHA.  Kidding aside, my summer classes will start on April 14. Yes, unfortunately I only have at least a week to relax and not think of anything academic-related during this period. I'm hoping I'd surpass this coming summer classes with flying colors not like when we had Organic Chem and SocSci last time. I'll be studying Plant Taxonomy and CommIII (Public Speaking) and I'm hoping these subjects would not be too boring to be appreciated by me. :]

This seemed to be the first Sunday of the year that I did not worry about what's gonna happen the following day for school! My parents and I had lunch at Yellowcab then went to Church to participate in the Mass. We also had grocery shopping and I was really in the mood to take a lot of pictures of myself on our way home! HAHA Vanity strikes in an instant for us sometimes, right? LOL. Okay, so here are just a couple of pictures awhile ago. That pizza goodness and my picture on our way to Yellowcab. :)) I always put that no-make-up look on me all the time! It's actually the only make-up I am into lately. HAHA I reserve pigmented make-ups for parties. Until next time!
