Like a Kid

Oh what joy it is to join my nephew Aedan in watching this year's Disney on Ice presentation at Araneta Coliseum! I felt like a kid once more by just sitting and watching the star-studded show wherein Disney characters like "The Classics" Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy, "The Princesses and Princes" and "The Toys and Pets" of different movies and TV shows have presented their selves in a 2-hour show that actually made me teary-eyed at the end! FTW. XD

I definitely missed my childhood afterwards, leading to a day of flashbacks and a little regret that I didn't really enjoy being a Disney Kid back then! LOL. Now, I wanna watch all the movies that I have missed and movie parts that I've skipped. LOL! But yea, I never knew I'd miss those times when I just watch the good old Disney shows of my generation and dream that someday I'll find a prince charming. :))

Here's a picture of me and Aedan. This is a failed one because we were blurry, but then I like this pic coz it's candid! On another note, I'm getting hooked with Lookbook. o_o IDK but there's something with LB that makes you think of your next "outfit of the day" HAHA So there, I posted a new look! XD

Ciao for now~~ xox.

What I'm Up To

My first week back to school = speechless. Pressure is everywhere! We are being bombarded by requirements and self-realizations now that we are in 3rd yr 2nd sem. It's like all the batteries I've "recharged" for my system to get back and win the battle is about to drain! LOL. XD I have four major subjects this semester which comprises Developmental Biology, Research Methodology, Microbiology, and Animal Physiology. Right now, I'm still a little bit relaxing, but I know things will turn out to be really REALLY toxic just before Christmas break commences. We shall prepare for the first blood shed of the semester aka exams #Exaggeration

Just awhile ago, we had a seatwork in Micro Bio Lab. The task was to draw examples of the following microorganisms -- under Protista, Fungi, and Eubacteria. Here's a piece of paper of what I submitted! LOL

On another note, here's what I just ate for dinner! ~Pomodor Sechi and Panini bread~

Pomodor Sechi and Panini bread

This was given by my sister as a "pasalubong". I can't ask anything greater than having a family who's there anytime. We never fail to cope with one another either through text messages, phone calls, get-together's or food treats!! ^-^ #blessed

'Til here!

PS: I decided to leave my previous account. I'm now tweeting at @OUJOHARU You can follow my twitter account, which I ALWAYS update! :D

Lookout for a Loved One

Three of my relatives are now reunited with God -- my uncle-in-law, grandmom-in-law, and my dearest uncle -- all from the mother side. The death of my uncle affected me the most. We used to celebrate family occasions together, especially Christmas. What makes life in this world so unpredictable is the fact that the day before he died, we were still able to talk over the phone and sing a song merrily. I had no idea, instinct, nor ESP that it would be his last hello from him, last conversation with me. Although I know that we are souls and that we wander around... and we can be fortunate to see them in the next life, the feeling of losing a person whom you are used to be with especially in times of merriment... it's the last thing I'd want to feel.

For the past days my cousins and I were the ones who stayed at the funeral to look over the place. My usual lookout hours (while others are asleep) is from 1-6AM. During that span of time, I pray and talk to my uncle, study for NMAT, and watch over my relatives who were asleep. I feel so sad but I need to be strong. Life will be tougher the next time, I know. Only few people close to me know about this. I just wanted to let my sad feelings out; thanks to this blog and of course to you my netfriends!

On another note, here are two tags I got recently from two of my blogfriends, Gail and Esma. Read on to know more about me! ;)

Bonding with Tricia!

It was a rainy Sunday bonding with my cousin who came all the way from Saipan! My cousin's name is Tricia and our last meeting was six years ago. Yes, we definitely grew up away from each other but this cousin of mine surely is close to me for unknown reasons. We just jive on whatever we talk about, I guess! :D Talk about blood being thick. ;) Trying to kill time on our way to Manila Ocean Park, here's a picture of the view from the window while rain poured down like cats and dogs.

We had Tokyo Tokyo for lunch! Nomnom.

Then we headed to MOP. It was my second time there but decided to accompany her that day. We strolled around and took pictures together. I still find ocean park great for family bonding! It's too crowded as always though. There are a lot of lines waiting for you, either for ticket buying, entering the park, or waiting for your turn to get your feet treated in the Fish Spa. Here's our picture after entering the Manila Ocean Park. YES, I know right it doesn't show the ocean but rather a place with terrestrial plants, but after that portion, we get to see the aquarium! XD

Anyways, we had the chance to experience the Glass Bottom Boat Ride. IMO, it's 65% okay if I were to rate it. It needs to be developed, and I hope the admin would work on that; nevertheless, it's a fun way to get a much closer look at different species of fish under the sea! :D It is best for appreciation of marine life. ^-^

Before ending the trip, we ate at UCC Cafe. She bought French Toast and Mango Juice while I bought a cake (forgot the name, but they told me it's their latest cake addition) and Irish Choco Cream Cooler. I'm very much into coffee y'know!

FUN DAY IT WAS! I hope to get more bondings with my cousins. I definitely needed this break away from Acads! It sure keeps me sane. :D

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's to your moms! I hope you had a great day celebrating it together with your beloved mothers. We ate lunch at Yellow Cab after attending Mass. It was a simple celebration with only the three of us left at home -- my mom, dad and I. My two sisters are now married and are living with their own families already. We regretted not bringing our own radio at YC though since t'was Pacquiao's fight during that time. XD  Nonetheless, we're so happy knowing that he won after we've eaten our scrumptious lunch! :)) Since it was raining really hard that time, we decided to just have a continuation of our celebration this weekend, and hopefully by that time we can go places! :D

I know I've been missing in blogging action since the middle of April. There are just a lot of things to do in the offline world that I have somehow lost my way in the blogging world. I just want to grab this moment to thank you all for the greetings you've sent me last May 3 in celebration of my 19th birthday. I feel so blessed and loved by you guys. I can't help but smile when I see your greetings in facebook, twitter, or even personal messages. It's my first time to keep track of the facebook wall posts I get for my birthday and I'm really happy to see the continuous flow of greetings for a day or two in my profile! THANK YOU SO MUCH. ♥

I've been living this life for 19 years now and I must say it's an accomplishment to live it in the best way I can. Right now, I know I have more to experience in this world. I don't know how many lifetimes I've lived but I'm grateful that somehow I've managed to really experience my life being the Sandra I am today. Expressive much? But seriously, I am very  happy to live a life surrounded by people who I would cherish through a lifetime. Love y'all!  :]

On another note, just want to share you what I'm drinking now. A Serenitea Wintermelon! The other two are for my sister. She has a craving for milk teas right now, eh? :))
